Qualifications

• Experience providing direct crisis intervention and/or survivor advocacy.

• Strong organizational, communication, writing, data management, and time-management skills.
• Willingness to travel throughout STAR's service area and respond after-hours for hospital and legal accompaniment.

Job description

STAR is seeking a highly organized and collaborative Training Project Coordinator to coordinate and manage specialized training initiatives funded through a three-year federal grant. This position will serve as the primary coordinator for the project, working closely with the Office on Violence Against Women (OVW), Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) providers, community partners, and STAR leadership to ensure training activities are effectively implemented and responsive to the communities STAR serves.

Please note that this is a grant-funded, time-limited position supported for a three-year project period. This position works closely with law enforcement.

Position Duties

The Training Project Coordinator will coordinate project timelines and deliverables; serve as a central point of contact among project partners; facilitate an interdisciplinary training implementation team; maintain project records and documentation; collect and report performance data; collaborate with external evaluators; and assist with grant reporting and compliance. The Coordinator will also help ensure training activities incorporate culturally and linguistically appropriate perspectives and reflect current best practices.

Qualifications

Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in social work, public health, criminal justice, nonprofit management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a master's degree is preferred. Applicants must have at least one year of professional experience in program coordination, project management, or training implementation, preferably in a nonprofit or human services setting, as well as experience organizing or facilitating interdisciplinary teams or committees.

Candidates must also have at least one year of experience providing direct crisis intervention and/or survivor advocacy, knowledge of the criminal justice field, and an understanding of crisis services for survivors of sexual trauma. Strong organizational, communication, writing, data management, and time-management skills are essential. The position requires the ability to travel throughout STAR's service area and availability to respond to after-hours hospital and/or legal accompaniment requests.
