Job summary

Amgen Inc. in Thousand Oaks, CA, seeks a Training and Development Manager to lead a team of Training Associates and deliver onboarding and training for US Commercial field staff across multiple units.

Hybrid role requiring in-person trainings at Amgen headquarters. You will partner with directors and field managers, oversee onboarding communications, LMS reporting, and HR compliance tasks, while driving process improvements and cross-functional collaboration to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree Master’s degree and 2 years of working in the pharmaceutical industry, account management, patient access and/or experience in training (headquarter or field‑based)
• Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years of working in the pharmaceutical industry, account management, patient access and/or experience in training (headquarter or field‑based)
• Associate’s Degree and 8 years of working in the pharmaceutical industry, account management, patient access and/or experience in training (headquarter or field‑based)
• High school diploma / GED and 10 years of working in the pharmaceutical industry, account management, patient access and/or experience in training (headquarter or field‑based)

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the Training Associates team and manage performance.
• Escalation point for the team to resolve operational and stakeholder issues.
• Monitor onboarding rosters and manage new hire training participants.
• Manage weekly onboarding communications to new hires and hiring managers.
• Coordinate Concur training and LMS compliance for new staff.
• Run reports from LMS, Tableau, and Zoho for training metrics.
