Job summary

STIHL Inc. in the United States seeks a Training Manager to lead live and virtual instruction across STIHL’s commercial channels.

You will deliver brand-aligned product knowledge, sales strategies, and customer engagement training while coaching field reps and dealers to elevate performance. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in training or coaching in commercial or technical settings, a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communications, or related field, and strong presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communications, Business, or related field.
• Professional training certifications (e.g., ATD Master Trainer, CPTM) strongly preferred.
• 5+ years in a training, facilitation, or coaching role in commercial, retail, or technical industries.
• Experience training on products or systems with hands-on components.
• Familiarity with STIHL’s product categories or dealer networks.
• Proven success in delivering high-impact instruction to adult learners.
• Up to 25% travel by air.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions for STIHL commercial teams, dealers, and channel partners.
• Deliver engaging, brand-aligned instruction on product knowledge, sales strategies, and customer engagement.
• Partner with instructional designers to enhance existing training programs based on real-time learner feedback.
• Coach field reps and trainers to elevate facilitation techniques and improve learning outcomes.
• Assess learner performance and gather qualitative feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
• Represent STIHL values and culture in every learning interaction — modeling professionalism, integrity, and a passion for craftsmanship.
