Job summary

STIHL USA is seeking a results-driven Training Manager to lead live instruction, coaching, and facilitation across STIHL’s sales channels and product categories, delivering high-impact experiences that connect dealers and commercial teams to our brand's legacy of innovation and quality.

You will design and deliver in-person and virtual sessions, partner with instructional designers, coach field reps, and assess learner performance, with up to 25% travel and a requirement to reside in or near

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communication, Business, or related field.
• Professional training certifications (e.g., ATD Master Trainer, CPTM) strongly preferred.
• 5+ years in a training, facilitation, or coaching role in commercial, retail, or technical industries.
• Experience training on products or systems with hands-on components.
• Familiarity with STIHL’s product categories or dealer networks.
• Proven success in delivering high-impact instruction to adult learners.
• Up to 25% travel by air.
• Strong facilitation and public speaking skills for technical and commercial audiences.
• Familiarity with LMS platforms and classroom technologies.
• Ability to adapt instructional techniques to suit diverse learner needs.
• Basic proficiency with training software (PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
• Highly relational, strong interpersonal and coaching abilities.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions for STIHL commercial teams, dealers, and channel partners
• Deliver engaging, brand-aligned instruction on product knowledge, sales strategies, and customer engagement
• Partner with instructional designers to enhance existing training programs based on real-time learner feedback
• Coach field reps and trainers to elevate facilitation techniques and improve learning outcomes
• Assess learner performance and gather qualitative feedback to identify improvement opportunities
• Represent STIHL values and culture in every learning interaction — modeling professionalism, integrity, and a passion for craftsmanship
• All other duties and responsibilities as assigned
