Job summary

Achieva, based in Pittsburgh, is seeking a Training Manager to ensure regulatory, licensing, credentialing, and accreditation standards are met. This role oversees the DSP credentialing process, develops and updates training materials, and embeds person-centered principles across all training.

You will supervise Training Specialists, collaborate with HR and executives, coordinate audits, and design competency-based curricula.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in organizational learning and training development.
  • 3+ years supervisory or organizing corporate training.
  • Familiarity with curriculum development and licensing processes.
  • Ability to navigate online training platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Pennsylvania driver’s license and insured vehicle.

For over 75 years, Achieva has been committed to the support and inclusion of those with disabilities.Position SummaryThe Training Manager ensures Achieva Support employees comply with regulatory, licensing, credentialing, and accreditation standards. This position oversees the Achieva Support Front Line Supervisor/Direct Support Professional Credentialing process, develops and monitors training materials, incorporates person-centered principles into training, and provides oversight and supervision to Achieva Support Training Specialists.Reports to Achieva’s Vice President of Quality & Compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesSupports the achievement of individuals’ personal outcomes.Manages and provides oversight to an internal Front Line Supervisor/Direct Support Professional (DSP) tiered credentialing program such as the National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals (NADSP) Certification.Tracks specific core competencies and hours of completed accredited education.Monitors credentialing progress and identifies areas of improvement for direct support professionals.Defines measurable credentialing outcomes and develops mechanisms to track and report program value, return on investment (ROI), and participant experience.Works with Communications to leverage credentialing membership for the benefit of internal and external stakeholders.Designs and develops competency-based training content for Achieva Support employees, standardizing content where possible.Works with program Vice Presidents and/or their designees to develop specialized program training content.Reviews training content with Achieva Support's Training Committee, Achieva Support's Executives/VPs, and Achieva's Human Resources department to ensure approval.Develops training outlines/curriculums that provide initial and annual training requirements for targeted employee groups.Supervises, guides, and trains department Training Specialists and program trainers to ensure consistent application of standardized and/or specialized training content.Monitors and evaluates Training Specialists' performance and takes action to improve or sustain performance as needed.Works with Human Resources to ensure new hires receive all applicable Achieva Support training content.Tracks and ensures personnel meet all training requirements during their employment.Conducts ongoing and random record reviews to ensure compliance.Conducts orientation and training of employees as needed.In conjunction with Achieva Support's Vice Presidents, addresses any training non-compliance.In conjunction with Achieva Support's Vice President of Quality and Compliance, monitors the effectiveness of Achieva Support's training program and instructors.Develops informational training newsletters to promote continuous employee learning and provide training updates, changes, and/or additions.Acts as the liaison to visiting auditors from outside program monitoring/audits from government regulatory branches and outside funding/community partners.Ensures all personnel needed are available to auditors and that materials provided to auditors are accurate and complete.Reports to the team, on an ongoing basis, all quality/compliance concerns.Researches and monitors best training practices to ensure employee competency, training effectiveness, and a person-centered approach.Continually analyzes training methods for effective ways to teach and/or meet budgetary guidelines.Performs other related duties as assigned.Equivalent of a Bachelor’s Degree; preferably organizational learning and training development.Three plus years supervisory and/or organizing corporate training opportunities.Familiarity with curriculum development, learning management systems, licensing, and regulatory processes required.Ability to navigate online training platforms required.Experience in training content development software platforms preferred.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.Pennsylvania driver’s license and properly insured vehicle required.Act 33/34 clearances and FBI clearance required.Some local travel and some evenings and weekends required.Hybrid or remote work flexibility may be available based on organizational need.Why Join Achieva?Meaningful Work: Directly contribute to the lives of people with disabilities.Inclusive Culture: Be part of a values-driven, supportive team.Benefits IncludeHealth, Dental, and Vision Insurance with low employee contributions.Company-Paid Life, AD&D, and Long-Term Disability Insurance.403(b) Retirement Plan with employer contributions after one year.Employee Assistance Program for personal and family support.Generous Paid Time Off and Holidays.Our Commitment to InclusionAchieva is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE) and is committed to creating a workplace and community where all individuals feel respected, included, and valued.
