Job Overview

As a part of Johnson Controls’ Data Center Solutions business unit, Silent‑Aire is focused on creating products for the data center industry. In this role, you will lead a team of learning professionals to support the global workforce with training and performance support initiatives that help employees grow and achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of highly capable learning professionals and help solve critical business problems through training and performance support initiatives.
• Investigate new opportunities and participate in the development of effective, impactful and inventive training.
• Align training initiatives with the global strategic plan of the business.
• Facilitate continuous improvement of trainers to support plant operations.
• Own reporting and communication of training performance metrics to all relevant stakeholders.
• Audit and monitor performance and effectiveness of training specialists; engage operational leadership, quality, safety, and conduct training audits.
• Collaborate with other learning leaders across the globe.
• Hire and train new technical instructors, own train‑the‑trainer design and implementation for on‑shift trainers and area leads.
• Manage team members through performance evaluations and other managerial responsibilities.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert and learning consultant, developing instructor‑led and virtual/online training programs.
• Develop standardized competency matrices for manufacturing direct and indirect staff.
• Drive consistency from project to project in technical learning.
• Keep current and continue education in training techniques, performance improvement, instructional design, adult learning principles, and organizational development.
• Use strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with managers, instructors, SMEs and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure lessons learned and best practices from past initiatives are captured and applied to future projects.
• Help set and drive evaluation protocols for learning deliverables and provide required metrics to business leaders.
• Understand technology and current curriculum to participate in design of learning and performance support tools.

Salary

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $89,000 - $134,000. Salary will be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
