Job summary

Acara Solutions is seeking a Training Manager, Manufacturing Operations for a client in Portland, OR. This hands-on role leads training, qualification, and workforce-development programs across Production, Warehouse, Logistics, and other manufacturing-floor functions.

You will develop curricula, deliver training on the floor, manage OJT, and drive measurable improvements in workforce readiness and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• 7-8+ years of experience developing, writing, implementing, and delivering employee training programs in manufacturing or industrial operations.
• Semiconductor or high-purity chemicals industry experience as operator/technician preferred.
• Experience developing and managing structured On-the-Job Training (OJT) trainers and employee qualification programs.
• Experience coaching and developing supervisors, leads, SMEs, or designated OJT trainers.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and continuous improvement of technical training and qualification programs for Production, ISO/Chemical Sampling, Material Handling, Warehouse/Logistics, and other manufacturing functions.
• Establish structured training pathways from onboarding to independent qualification and cross-training.
• Develop curricula, instructional materials, competency assessments, and proficiency standards (Operator Levels 1–3).
• Partner with Operations, Quality, EHS, and Engineering to align training with operational needs.
• Maintain strong floor presence delivering technical training and updating programs with evolving equipment and processes.
