Job summary

Oregon Freeze Dry seeks a Training Specialist to design and deliver training programs that ensure operators meet safety, quality, and production standards. You will lead instructor-led sessions on processes, equipment, and standard work, and support onboarding and refresher training in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires collaboration with supervisors and SMEs, proficiency with LMS and Microsoft Office, and a commitment to accurate training records, continuous improvement,

Qualifications

• Minimum two years in food manufacturing with at least one year of training.
• Strong communication and coaching skills.
• Experience in GMP, USDA, FDA or SQF environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instructor-led, hands-on training to operators on manufacturing processes, equipment, safety procedures, and standard work.
• Support onboarding and integration of new employees with structured training and follow-up coaching.
• Conduct knowledge assessments and competency evaluations to verify operator qualifications.
• Maintain accurate training records and documentation per company policies.
• Assist with development, review, and updating of training materials.
• Provide follow-up support and retraining to address performance gaps.
• Identify training gaps or trends and communicate improvement opportunities.
• Regular and reliable attendance on a full-time basis.
• Exhibit professional behavior reflecting OFD values and policies.
• Travel to different work locations by personal car as needed.
