Job summary

Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC) is seeking a Training Coordinator to lead the learning and development program for staff. The role ensures compliance with local and state laws while building and administering comprehensive training across the organization.

You will manage internal trainings, maintain records, coordinate with providers, and support onboarding. The position is hybrid, with on-site work and occasional travel to locations, and reports to Recruitment and Training Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent experience with a high school diploma.
• At least 1 year of HR experience.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong time management and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, advertise, host, and record attendance for internal staff growth opportunities.
• Manage required trainings monthly including maintaining up-to-date records of due and past-due learners.
• Ensure training records, certificates, and attendance are accurately maintained.
• Develop and maintain an annual training calendar and coordinate with external training providers.
• Maintain and oversee the organization’s e-learning portal and keep content current.
• Schedule, advertise, and host events in addition to training (DEI, etc.).
• Record trainings and share monthly newsletters with staff.
• Collect information and distribute a monthly all-staff development opportunities newsletter.
• Solicit feedback on training activities from participants and management.
• Monitor and respond to shared HR email boxes.
• Provide support to onboarding coordinator and assist with onboarding paperwork.
• Conduct new hire onboarding and trainings as needed.
• Assist with administrative HR projects and other duties as assigned.
