Responsibilities

The candidate will develop processes, systems, and frameworks for a comprehensive technical training program for EMD's Telecommunications Maintenance Group, collaborating with Subject Matter Experts and technical teams to create course content for assets including Subway, Bus, Police Radio Systems, CCTV, Access Intrusion Systems, Public Address, Customer Information Systems, Help Point Intercoms, Emergency Systems, and Network Systems.

Education and Experience

Project Manager

• Baccalaureate degree in engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, business, or public administration, plus at least one year of project management experience; or
• High school diploma or equivalent plus five years of relevant experience; or
• High school diploma or equivalent plus college credits leading to a degree, totaling five years of education and experience.

Design-related experience is not acceptable for minimum requirements.

License Requirements

Some positions require a valid NY State motor vehicle driver license, maintained throughout employment.

Additional Experience for Associate Project Manager

• One year of supervisory experience in project management or supervising a construction project valued at $1,000,000 or more;
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Level II & III Specific Requirements

• Additional years of supervisory or project management experience in large or complex projects.

Desired Skills

• Training or teaching experience with instructional methods.
• Telecommunications operations and field maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of subway systems and NYCT policies.
• Problem-solving, communication, organizational, and administrative skills.
