Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Training Developer to craft learner-centered instruction for a critical program. You’ll collaborate with SMEs and product owners to capture client training needs and map the right learning solution, building training materials and performance support tools.

You’ll create engaging, blended learning experiences for on-screen and classroom delivery, meet with SMEs to refine content, and use Kirkpatrick evaluation to maximize impact across the program.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of adult learning theory and instructional technologies.
  • 3+ years of DoD or IC experience.
  • 2+ years of technical training development experience.
  • Experience authoring instructional materials, learning objectives, and knowledge and performance tests.
  • Experience facilitating or instructing material.
  • Experience with competency frameworks.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to take a polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Training Developer
The Opportunity

Constructing a compelling course that teaches critical tradecraft requires a real passion for understanding the needs of your client. We have an opportunity for a training developer who is committed to crafting effective training for a critical program.

On our team, you'll work with SMEs and product owners to capture your client's training needs and advise them on the right learning solution to help them accomplish their mission. Putting the learner at the center of the training experience, you'll design training material and performance support tools. You'll build training material with curriculum developers and SMEs.

You'll use your technical skills, creativity, and experience to produce new ideas to develop an engaging, interactive learning experience on screen or in a classroom. You'll recommend cutting-edge multimedia technologies and strategies, including blended learning to build a successful learning environment. You know communication is key, so you'll meet with SMEs throughout the process to discuss learning material and incorporate feedback. To ensure your solution is hitting the mark, you'll collect and analyze results using evaluation methodologies such as the Kirkpatrick Model, then fine tune your training for maximum impact. This is a chance to use your deep understanding of training methodologies to build a creative learning experience that will engage students.

You Have
  • 5+ years of experience with adult learning theory and instructional technologies
  • 3+ years of experience with the DoD or IC
  • 2+ years of experience with technical training development, including training for technical systems
  • Experience authoring instructional materials, learning objectives, and knowledge and performance tests
  • Experience facilitating or instructing material

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
