Job summary

Family Services of the Merrimack Valley in Lawrence, MA, seeks a full-time Samaritans Training Coordinator to implement suicide prevention training across Massachusetts, focusing on Essex and parts of Middlesex counties. The role includes curricula facilitation, outreach, recruitment, training follow-up and data collection.

The position requires a Bachelor's Degree (or 2 years in a related field), strong presentation and outreach skills, and ability to work with diverse populations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or at least 2 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of suicide prevention, risk factors, warning signs and postvention.
• Energetic trainer mentality with experience delivering trainings to the community.
• Strong communication, organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
• Cultural competency to work with diverse populations.
• Proficiency with MS Office and social media tools.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; initiative when needed.
• Reliable transportation and ability to work occasional nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Conduct suicide prevention trainings for adults, older adults, and LGBTQIA+ populations.
• Meet contract targets for trainings, participant numbers, and satisfaction.
• Perform outreach via various channels to reach training goals.
• Coordinate CEU processing from application to certificates.
• Develop and analyze participant evaluation data and report findings.
• Participate in regional/state coalitions and meetings.
• Assist with other Samaritans projects and events as needed.
• Attend webinars/workshops to keep curricula updated annually.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
