Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking a Training Coordinator Intern to support the development, delivery, and improvement of training programs for Transmission System Operators and Balancing Authority Operators in Colorado. You will gain hands-on experience coordinating logistics, building simulator scenarios, and creating multimedia training content in a real-time operations environment.

Qualifications

• Current student enrolled in a college pursuing a degree in Business, Training & Development, or related field.
• Able to work full-time in summer (40h/week) or part-time during the school year (20h/week).
• Preferred Freshman or Sophomore standing.
• Willing to learn transmission system operation concepts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain training records, documentation, and compliance tracking.
• Support development of training simulator scenarios reflecting EMS events.
• Video capture and edit training video content.
• Collaborate with SMEs to develop training content through the ADDIE lifecycle.
• Assist in program review and development following systematic approaches.
