Overview
PURPOSE STATEMENT:
Coordinate staff development and deliver training to staff at the facility to ensure facility goals and objectives are achieved.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Utilize various learning techniques to deliver staff training.
- Participate in New Hire Orientation classes as required.
- Conduct restraint trainings, including de-escalation and restraint procedures for new hires and refresher courses.
- Conduct all annual in-service training for current employees, at least monthly.
- Conduct CPR certification classes as required.
- Collaborate with HR and compliance departments to ensure timely staff training.
- Arrange and conduct offsite training as needed and directed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records in accordance with state regulations and company policies.
- Develop training classes upon leadership request, with assistance from relevant departments, to meet facility needs.
- Assist in updating and maintaining employee training information in the HR database, ensuring proper and timely filing of records.
- Provide care and conduct patient interactions appropriately, considering age, culture, and population served.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
- Perform additional tasks and functions as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of one year experience in a behavioral health setting required.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
- CPR, de-escalation, and restraint certification required (training provided upon hire and available through the facility).
- First aid certification may be required based on state or facility requirements.
