A leading company in the manufacturing sector seeks a Training Coordinator responsible for developing and implementing training programs. The role involves collaboration across departments to promote continuous improvement, alongside tracking training effectiveness and implementing efficiency enhancements.
The Training Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring our team members are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties successfully. The role involves leading employees through on-the-job practical, hands-on training combined with classroom and procedural training. The incumbent will support supervisors and managers in increasing and tracking overall competency and development. The Training Coordinator will enhance training programs, including developing processes and training documents. Process areas within the organization include CNC machining, molding, assembly, quality, and support roles. The operation runs 24x5; training needs will be assessed and supported on each shift.
The Training Coordinator will work with HR and Operations managers to identify and implement improvement initiatives, monitor their effectiveness, and promote a culture of continuous improvement. The role will analyze processes and develop improvements to enhance efficiency using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, WCM, etc.
This role requires daily presence on the shop floor, working alongside operators and engineers to develop a thorough understanding of manufacturing processes, documenting these processes, and creating and delivering high-quality, engaging training to new and existing operators. Working with HR and Operations managers, the incumbent will identify opportunities for process improvements and work to evaluate and implement these improvements.
Education: Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, HR, Org Development, or similar preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional certifications are a plus.
Work Experience: 2+ years in training coordination and continuous improvement roles, and in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen methodologies is required. Experience in aerospace, automotive, or similar industries is preferred.
Saint-Gobain offers a comprehensive Total Rewards package, including pay transparency with a pay range of $24.00-$32.00 per hour, which may vary depending on various factors. The position is eligible for an annual bonus, targeted at 5% of the base salary. The total target cash range is $52,400 to $69,800. Bonus payments are variable and based on performance.
