Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Training Specialist to facilitate programs for the Centralized Services team, delivering sessions virtually and in the classroom. You will maintain training materials, coach teammates after sessions, collaborate with technical writers to update content, demonstrate products and services, and support onboarding with leadership and engagement initiatives.

This role requires travel up to 25% and a registered pharmacy technician license or willingness to obtain one;

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and at least 2 years experience delivering formal training.
• Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word for headers, page breaks, tables, etc.
• Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint including themes, transitions and layouts.
• Experience applying adult learning principles to training delivery.
• Experience managing multiple projects with deadlines.
• Experience facilitating group discussions and scribing.
• Experience creating training materials and process documentation.
• Experience building relationships within a team.
• Willing to travel up to 25% for business purposes and/or obtain a pharmacy tech license if required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred for education or related field.

Responsibilities

• Maintains training materials and contributes to new material development.
• Coaches and mentors team members after training.
• Coordinates with Technical Writer and Content Developer to update training content.
• Develops expertise on products/services and provides demonstrations.
• Assists with customer interactions during peak call volumes.
• Maintains a master training schedule for new hires and ongoing trainings.
• Supports leadership development and employee engagement during onboarding.
• Monitors training trends with Performance Research and Analysis for continuous improvement.
• Identifies training needs with project managers and business owners to improve operations.
