Job summary

Walgreens Co. is seeking a full-time, certified pharmacy technician to support day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations under pharmacist supervision.

You will assist with prescription data entry, patient registration, and medication preparation, while contributing to vaccines, health screenings, and additional services where allowed. You will lead training and performance management of technicians, manage workflow and scheduling, and ensure compliance with laws and company policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy and Health System Pharmacy locations)
• Preferred: Previous people management/ leadership experience.
• Preferred: Previous work experience with Walgreens with an Exceeding Expectation on last performance evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Participate in vaccine administration, health screenings, and health services as allowed.
• Lead training and performance management of pharmacy technicians.

• Handle insurance claims processing and resolve customer issues.
• Engage with customers to provide excellent service.
