Job summary

Addison Group is seeking a Training & Workforce Development Specialist in Landover Hills, MD to build and lead the organization’s training function from the ground up. This contract, in-office role partners with HR and operations to design programs, manage certifications, and drive regulatory compliance.

The successful candidate will develop curricula for operations, safety, and maintenance, implement an LMS, and create reporting to measure program effectiveness.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of progressive experience in training, workforce development, compliance, or a related function.
• Experience working in a highly regulated or safety-sensitive environment.
• Demonstrated success building training functions, processes, programs, or systems from the ground up.
• Experience developing training strategies, curricula, processes, or organizational development programs.
• Strong understanding of compliance, employee qualifications, certification tracking, and recurring training requirements.
• Experience with an LMS, training database, or comparable learning/training technology.
• Advanced Excel skills are required; proficient in organizing, analyzing, tracking and reporting training information.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage a comprehensive training function with HR leadership.
• Develop an enterprise-wide training strategy that supports safety and operational readiness.
• Create and maintain training curricula for operations, maintenance, safety, supervisory, and other employee groups.
• Establish training matrices to monitor courses, certifications, qualifications, and recurring training.
• Coordinate training delivered internally and by outside vendors.
