ABRI Credit Union in Romeoville, IL is seeking a Training and Development Specialist to assess training needs and coordinate staff development across locations.

You will design, implement, and track programs to elevate member service, sales culture, and cross-training while maintaining compliance and reporting. Flex hours and travel to multiple locations are involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in organizational development, adult education, or comparable prep.
• Two+ years of training experience.
• Willingness to work flexible hours in multiple locations.
• Proficiency with multimedia training platforms and MS Office.
• Ability to design and implement effective training programs.

Responsibilities

• Assess training needs through surveys, interviews, and focus groups.
• Coordinate staff training and cross-training to improve service and sales.
• Develop and implement training programs for member service excellence.
• Maintain annual training completion and provide reports for audits.
• Design learning content and materials to promote retention and transfer of skills.
• Facilitate web-based training and track course completion.
• Update employee knowledge base and ensure training materials are current.
• Occasionally travel to multiple locations for training.

Job description

As Our Training And Development Specialist, You Will

• Assess training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers, and staff to meet credit union objectives for outstanding member service, sales culture development and job function cross-training
• Conduct and coordinate staff training and cross training to provide knowledge and ensure proficiency, while ensuring all training programs and materials are developed and presented to maximize the sales and service delivery of the Credit Union and its staff
• Develop, coordinate, and implement training programs designed to achieve excellence in member service while providing all staff with career training to maximize their potential for upward mobility within the credit union
• Ensure staff completes the required annual training and provide reports to our auditors
• Model and promote high learning and growth expectations of staff, including job skills, productivity and efficiency, teamwork, motivation and commitment, communication, problem solving and understanding of credit union mission and goals
• Design learning content, methods, resources, and materials while incorporating fundamental knowledge and skill acquisition with innovative measures to stimulate interest, make learning enjoyable, and ensure retention and transference of learning
• Facilitate web-based training creating, assigning, and tracking training courses for all credit union staff annually
• Assist with updating and maintaining the employee knowledge base portal to ensure all material is up-to-date, accurate, and matches what is provided in training
• Maintain knowledge of the latest trends in training and development. Training and maintaining knowledge for role must be conducted in various formats (hands-on and presentations)
• Must work as a teller/banker to maintain knowledge of policies and procedures
• Assist in preparing training budget; maintains records and reports of expenses

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in organizational development, Adult Education, or comparable academic preparation
• At least two years of training experience
• Minimum Three Years Credit Union Experience (preferred)
• Minimum three years as a teller or personal banker (preferred)
• Willingness to work flexible hours in multiple locations
• Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods
• Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives
• Ability to design and implement effective training and development
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software
• Valid Illinois Driver's License with safe driving record with ability to drive to multiple locations for training or transporting training supplies
