Job summary

DP World is launching a new warehouse and distribution operation and seeks a Trainer to develop the workforce from Day 1. The role spans multiple shifts, collaborating with Operations, HR, Safety, and Quality to ensure trained, compliant, and ready staff.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in training within warehouse or logistics, strong communication and coaching skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of training experience within warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain operations.
  • Experience facilitating both classroom and hands-on training.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and coaching skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to support flexible schedules in a 24/7 operation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support employee development initiatives across multiple shifts and departments within a high-volume warehouse environment.
  • Partner with Operations, HR, Safety, and Quality teams to ensure employees are trained, engaged, compliant, and operationally ready.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding programs.
  • Conduct classroom and hands-on operational training.
  • Train employees on SOPs, warehouse processes, safety protocols, quality standards, and operational expectations.
  • Develop and maintain training materials, job aids, and work instructions.
  • Track training completion, certifications, and employee progress.
  • Coach employees and provide developmental feedback.
  • Identify skill gaps and training opportunities with leadership.

Trainer – Warehouse Operations (Start-Up Site)

DP World is launching an exciting new warehouse and distribution operation in Moreno Valley, CA, and we are looking for a dynamic, energetic, and people-focused Trainer to help develop the workforce that will drive our success.

What You’ll Do

As the Trainer, you will lead and support employee development initiatives across multiple shifts and departments within a high-volume warehouse environment. You will partner with Operations, HR, Safety, and Quality teams to ensure employees are trained, engaged, compliant, and operationally ready.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding programs
  • Conduct classroom and hands-on operational training
  • Train employees on SOPs, warehouse processes, safety protocols, quality standards, and operational expectations
  • Support cross-training and employee development initiatives
  • Develop and maintain training materials, job aids, and work instructions
  • Track training completion, certifications, and employee progress
  • Coach employees and provide developmental feedback
  • Partner with leadership teams to identify skill gaps and training opportunities
  • Reinforce a strong safety and engagement culture
  • Support training needs across day, night, weekend, and peak operation schedules
  • Assist with launch activities and workforce ramp-up initiatives
Required Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
  • 2+ years of training experience within warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain operations
  • Experience facilitating both classroom and hands-on training
  • Strong communication, presentation, and coaching skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to support flexible schedules in a 24/7 operation
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting start-up or newly launched operations
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Forklift or equipment training experience
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and operational best practices

About The Role
How you will contribute
  • Process Analysis – provide input on processes from a quality perspective, aid in implementation of new processes.
  • Coordinate, provide and follow up training for employees following the company’s training process.
  • Coordinate training activities for new hires, cross training and training as a result of corrective actions.
  • Actively coach the organization concerning training effectiveness with tools and reports.
  • Generate, interpret, analyze, and communicate results using management tools, graphs, and reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Your Key Qualifications
  • High school diploma; college degree is preferred.
  • Experience working in returns or logistics environment working in a quality or training capacity.
  • Proficiency on computers and Microsoft Office products.
  • Above average interpersonal, organizational and communication skills - written and oral to deal with a wide range of customers-both internal and external.
