Job summary

Revolution Workshop in Chicago seeks a Case Manager to guide trainees through enrollment, participation, and completion of the Trades Pre-Apprenticeship Program. You will be the main contact for trainees, providing coaching, accountability, and barrier removal to help achieve their goals.

You will teach soft skills and executive functioning, support financial planning, and coordinate with partners to advance participants' progress within RW's mission to empower underemployed individuals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology or related field preferred.
• At least three years’ experience with diverse groups.
• Nonprofit experience preferred.
• Knowledge of social services in Chicago and surrounding area.
• Strong communication and writing skills.
• Detail-oriented with initiative and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead support services for each trainee, including transportation, housing, and financial issues.
• Develop plans with trainees to overcome barriers to employment through one-on-one sessions.
• Conduct assessments and goal check-ins to support trainees' financial goals.
• Teach weekly executive functioning and financial capabilities classes.
• Promote programs to community organizations by email, calling, and visits.
• Screen and select participants for programs through in-person interviews.
• Collect grant eligibility documentation and input data into databases.
• Maintain trainee database and case notes in Salesforce.
• Assist with planning and development of RW programs and events.
• Assist trainees in creating a budget during training.
• Attend meetings and fundraisers as needed.
• Navigate financial assistance with trainees.
