Qualifications

• Experience using accounting or sales-related software is beneficial.
• Willingness to learn about the insurance industry, insurance programs, and state and federal regulations that may impact policyholders.
• Basic computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office suite is required.
• Must be a superb communicator able to carefully analyze complex ideas like insurance programs; experience working in customer service is beneficial.
• Candidates must have or be willing to get an insurance license.

Responsibilities

• Business-to-business cold calling and meetings with potential clients; educate them on the benefits of supplemental insurance offerings.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, providing exceptional service and addressing their insurance needs; building your book of business.
• Update reports, records, bookkeeping systems, and other organizational tools to accurately report progress toward monthly insurance sales goals.
• Tailor risk management strategies and client profiles to reflect each customer's individual needs.
• Stay abreast of changes to rules or policies within the insurance agency to effectively amend insurance programs for clients.
• Implement marketing strategies including cold calling and networking to connect with potential clients while maintaining current client portfolios.
• Conduct meetings with new and potential clients to present best insurance policies for their needs
