Job summary

Silvertip Completion Services in Alaska seeks a Pump Technician to install and disassemble pumps and data recording equipment, following manufacturer standards.

You will monitor and adjust processes, perform shipping/unloading duties, operate and troubleshoot pump trucks, and support crew on and off site. Must be 21+, valid driver’s license, and able to work 12+ hour shifts in varying conditions.

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work 12+ hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Installation / disassembly of pumps and data recording equipment following manufacturer standards.
• Monitor and adjust processes to maximize quality and efficiency within safety guidelines.
• Handle shipping, loading, and unloading with compliance to regulations and verify equipment identity and quantity.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot pump truck and equipment and document overall operation.

• Job Summary

• Installation / disassembly (rig up/rig down) of pumps and data recording equipment in accordance with original manufacturer’s standards including verification of applicable certifications. Assembles, secures, and disconnects equipment.

• Monitors, evaluates, and adjusts processes or equipment to maximize quality and efficiency. Tasks are performed in accordance with applicable safety guidelines, as well as appropriate industry standards.

• Performs a combination of shipping, loading, and unloading duties. Follows all standard shipping practices and procedures in full compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including additional transportation routing and scheduling requirements. Verifies and document’s identity and quantity of all equipment.

• Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots pump truck and equipment including diagnostics, as well as keeps records for the overall operation.
  Ensures compliance with all regulations applicable to pressure pumping operations

Clean and maintain company vehicles, tools, & equipment; Troubleshoot tool, equipment, and truck problems; Rebuild pumps in the shop and in the field

Provides support to crew members with operations on and off location and liaises with technicians on equipment failure

• Other job duties as assigned

• 1 year oilfield experience is preferred

• You Must be 21 Years or Older

• Knowledge of transferring pumps and fueling process preferred

• Maintaining a current and valid driver’s is required

• Able to safely preform duties during a 12+ hour work shift that will include day, nights, weekends, holidays, and extreme weather conditions

• Ability to frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds independently while walking on uneven surfaces, and climb equipment ladders or stairs throughout the work shift

• Strong work ethic

• Can perform well in high stress environments and meet time-sensitive deadlines which may include emergency response situations

• Can work effectively on a team as well as independently
