As a Pump Technician, you will need a thorough understanding of the use of Diesel pumps, Centrifugal Pumps, Water Pumps, Trucks Maintenance repair, Trailers, and Skid Steers repairs.
Performs basic troubleshooting on some mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
The Technician will have the ability to disassemble clean and inspect various types of equipment and have a complete understanding of engineering standards and specifications.
Assists with documentation that is produced during their daily responsibilities.
Ensures duties are performed in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.
Performs own work and provides assistance to others as directed.
Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability, or operations. Consequences of error are not easily measured and can result in the failure of high-pressure pumping systems. Such failures may result in serious injury or death to employees and customers in the field.

Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge in Water Pumps, Trucks, Trailers, Skid Steers and has a thorough understanding of the use of Diesel Pumps and Centrifugal Pumps.
A High School diploma or GED
One year or more of experience in pump repair; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in oilfield operations including experience in pumping is preferred.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of climbing, balancing, stooping kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, hearing, and repetitive motions.
Work is primarily performed standing or walking.
Frequently lift, carry, and/or position objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Position Criteria
Have a good understanding of seal flush plans, orifices, and small-bore piping.
The ability to assemble, test, and prepare equipment for shipping.
Self-starting individual who requires little or no supervision in accomplishing assigned tasks.
Has the ability to read and understand blueprints, sketches, manuals, and other forms of documentation referring to equipment.
Great communication skills, both verbal and written.
Recognize challenges and opportunities and participate in developing solutions and more.
Capable of performing RCA (root cause failure analysis) of equipment.
Understand the necessity of adhering to budgetary constraints.
The ability to articulate/convey both verbally and in writing information pertaining to ongoing jobs to the shop foreman.
