Job summary

Colony Court Senior Living in Minnesota is seeking a Trained Medication Aide CNA to provide medication administration and hands-on care for residents. This role supports daily living activities and collaborates with the care team to ensure safety and quality of life.

The position offers full-time, part-time, and PRN shifts with additional shift differentials and competitive pay. Candidates must have MN CNA certification and complete the Medication Aide course.

Qualifications

• MN CNA certification active in Minnesota.
• MN Medication Aide course completion with copy of cert.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications to residents under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility, and medication assistance.
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ conditions and document vital signs.
• Promote independence and quality of life through companionship and engagement.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and assist with light housekeeping.
• Collaborate with care team and follow care plans and trainings.

• What You’ll Do:
• Administer prescribed medications to residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse, while accurately documenting medication administration.
• Provide compassionate personal care and support with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility, and medication assistance
• Monitor and report changes in clients’ physical, emotional, or medical conditions, including documenting vital signs and services provided
• Promote client independence, dignity, and quality of life through companionship, social engagement, and individualized care support
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment by following infection control, safety procedures, and completing light housekeeping duties
• Collaborate with the care team by assisting co-workers, completing delegated nursing or therapy tasks, attending required trainings, and following agency policies and care plans
• What You’ll Need:
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Good standing, active MN Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
• Successful completion of MN Medication Aide course - must be able to provide copy of certification
• Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
• Previous experience with older adults preferred
