Saber Health Group in Clayton, North Carolina is seeking a compassionate Medication Aide to administer medications to residents in an Assisted Living setting under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

Qualifications

• Be listed in good standing on the registry as a medication aide in the state in which you work.
• Passed the QMA competency evaluation program if required by your state.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate EHR software.
• Previous experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician.
• Provide emotional and social support and attend to residents' physical needs.

Position Summary:

The primary purpose of your job is to administer medications to residents as ordered by the attending Physician, under the direction of a licensed nurse within the scope of practice for Medication Aides. The administration of medication shall be in accordance with established nursing standards, the community policies, procedures, and practices, and the requirements of the state in which you operate. You will so provide a safe environment, give emotional and social support, and attend to the resident’s physical needs and comfort in an Assisted Living Setting. Performs direct care to the residents as assigned, in accordance with the resident’s care plan, and as directed by your supervison.

Education/Qualifications:

• Be listed in good standing on the registry as a medication aide in the state in which you work.

• Passed the QMA competency evaluation program consisting of a written test, if your state requires.

• Must be currently enrolled in a high school program or have a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Must possess basic computer skills and ability to navigate through various software programs, including electronic health record software.

• Previous experience preferred.

Shift and Wage:

• Part-Time Opportunity Available

• Shifts Needed: 2nd

• Wage: $18.00 per hour
