Union Pacific Railroad invites you to join our Train Crew team. Train Crew members ensure the safe and timely movement of freight; prior railroad experience is not required as comprehensive training is provided.

In your first year you can expect around $80,000, with potential for higher earnings as you advance and transition to other crafts. The position requires on-call availability, adherence to safety standards, and a full range of benefits including medical, vision, dental and disability

Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driverter's license with clean 36-month record.
• Must not have drug- or alcohol-related driving incidents.
• Must successfully complete an English assessment before interview.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment, locomotives, and rail cars to ensure safe operation.
• Couple and align equipment, operate remote-control locomotives, and manage hand brakes and signals.
• Maintain accurate written and electronic documentation as required.
• Comply with all railroad safety rules and FRA regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by a supervisor.
