Job summary

Union Pacific Railroad is seeking motivated Train Crew members to ensure the safe and timely movement of freight. Training is provided, and advancement toward engine service is possible as seniority grows.

Initial year earnings are around $80,000 with potential for higher earnings over time. Medical, vision, and other insurance coverages are provided along with pension options and employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Clean driving record in the past 36 months.
• Must not have been involved in drug/alcohol-related incidents or probation.
• Must successfully complete an English assessment before interview.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment, locomotives, and rail cars to ensure safety.
• Operate remote control locomotives and perform coupling and braking tasks.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with FRA regulations.
• Work on road or yard service based on seniority; may require travel.
• Be available for on-call shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
