Union Pacific’s Train Crew role offers comprehensive training and the chance to advance toward engine service and locomotive engineering roles. The position focuses on safe and timely movement of freight with potential to earn around $80,000 in the first year and over $100,000 median after five years.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Clean driving record in past 36 months (no suspensions related to drugs/alcohol).
• No diversion/probation or drug/alcohol-related guilty plea.
• Must pass English assessment before interview.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment, locomotives, and rail cars for safe operation.
• Couple equipment, operate remote control locomotives, and communicate with crews via radio/hand signals.
• Maintain accurate written and electronic documentation.
• Observe railroad safety rules and FRA regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

Skills
