Job summary

Union Pacific Corporation invites applications for a Train Crew role. Train Crew employees are responsible for the safe and timely movement of customers’ freight. The company provides comprehensive training, and prior railroad experience is not required.

In your first year you can expect earnings around $80,000, with greater earning potential as seniority grows. As you advance, growth opportunities exist toward engine service.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Clean driving record over the past 36 months with no DUI-related suspensions or denials.
• Must not have had a drug or alcohol-related driving incident.
• Must pass an English assessment before interview.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and timely movement of customers’ freight.
• Inspect equipment, locomotives, and rail cars to ensure safe operation.
• Perform tasks such as coupling equipment, operating remote control locomotives, and signaling to crews and dispatchers.
• Maintain required written and electronic documentation.
