Job summary

Union Pacific Railroad is hiring Train Crew members to ensure the safe and timely movement of customers' freight. Training is provided, no prior railroad experience required. The role includes road or yard service based on seniority and territory.

Initial earnings are around $80,000 per year with potential for higher earnings as you advance; five-year seniority bonuses can push median earnings over $100,000. Medical, vision, dental, life, and disability insurance are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record in the past 36 months.
• Must not have been involved in drug or alcohol-related driving incidents or probation.
• Must successfully complete an English assessment before interviews.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment, locomotives, and rail cars for safe operation.
• Perform tasks such as coupling, aligning drawbars, operating remote control locomotives, applying/releasing hand brakes.
• Create and maintain written and electronic documentation; communicate clearly with crews and dispatchers.
• Follow railroad safety rules and FRA regulations; perform additional duties as assigned.
