Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver2s license.
• Clean driving record in past 36 months with no drug/alcohol suspensions.
• Must not have been involved in diversion or probation or pleaded guilty to a drug/alcohol-related driving incident.
• Must pass an English assessment before interview.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment, locomotives, and rail cars to ensure they are safe to use or move in a train.
• Perform tasks such as coupling equipment, aligning drawbars, operating remote control locomotives, applying and releasing hand brakes, riding rail cars, and communicating with crews, yard controllers, and dispatchers via radio/hand signals.
• Maintain accurate written and electronic documentation and prepare necessary materials.
• Observe and comply with railroad safety, operations, and FRA rules and regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by a supervisor.
