Job summary

Quality Repair Solutions (QRS®) in Augusta, GA is seeking an energetic Trailer Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain semi-trailer and tractor units while working from a service truck. You will perform inspections, brake work, tire changes, electrical troubleshooting, and basic structural repairs in compliance with DOT and company standards.

Qualifications

Experience with diesel engines, electrical and hydraulic systems.
Understanding of DOT rules and vehicle maintenance procedures.
R-Stamp welding certification and TIG welding experience.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair tractors and trailers.
Perform annual inspections and ensure compliance with FHWA/dot standards.
Operate yard hostler to move trailers within yard and shop.
Order and receive parts and supplies as needed.
Maintain clean, safe work environment and follow OSHA policies.
Annotate maintenance in CMMS with labor and parts.
