Job summary

TEN (Transportation Equipment Network) is seeking a Trailer Technician/Trailer Mechanic to diagnose, maintain, and repair a wide range of trailers including dry vans, reefers, and flatbeds. You will work to ensure DOT and safety compliance while performing diagnostics, PMs, and repair work in a fast-paced shop.

The role requires hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and structural systems and use of diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

Experience as a Trailer Technician or similar role.
Hands-on experience in trailer repair and maintenance.
Knowledge of brake systems, suspensions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and DOT requirements.
Ability to use shop tools, diagnostic equipment, and welding/fabrication tools.
Ability to lift, move, and work with heavy equipment and trailer components.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and structural issues on trailers.
Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and routine trailer servicing.
Repair or replace brake systems, suspensions, axles, landing gear, and wheel-end components.
Troubleshoot and repair lighting systems, wiring, and electrical components.
Document all repairs and maintain accurate work orders in the maintenance system.
Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding repair needs.
