Job summary

TEN (Transportation Equipment Network) is seeking a skilled Trailer Technician/Trailer Mechanic in Memphis to diagnose, maintain, and repair a wide range of trailers, including dry vans, reefers, and flatbeds. The role requires hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and structural systems to meet DOT and safety standards.

Responsibilities include PMs, brake and suspension work, welding/fabrication, and DOT inspections, with a focus on safe, compliant repairs and thorough

Qualifications

• Experience as Trailer Technician, Trailer Mechanic, Diesel Technician, Fleet Technician or similar role.
• Knowledge of brake systems, suspension, hydraulics, electrical systems and DOT requirements.
• Ability to lift/move heavy equipment and work with trailer components.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and structural issues on trailers.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and routine servicing.
• Repair or replace brake systems, suspensions, axles, landing gear, and wheel-end components.
• Troubleshoot and repair lighting systems, wiring, and electrical components.
• Complete frame, body, and structural repairs including welding and fabrication.
• Conduct DOT inspections and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Document repairs and maintain accurate work orders.
