Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. in Mississippi (Byram) is seeking a Trailer Technician II to perform intermediate maintenance and repair on trailers and equipment under routine supervision.

You will troubleshoot, complete work orders, assist with onboarding trainees, and participate in OE training while adhering to safety procedures and company standards. This is a full-time role with potential for bonuses and advancement.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in semi-trailer maintenance and repair or equivalent
• At least 1 year of DOT and FHWA inspections and air brakes experience
• Own basic tools or purchase through toolbox program
• Willingness to work outdoors and across shifts including nights/weekends
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and intermediate repairs on trailer equipment
• Troubleshoot trailer issues and complete work orders to specs
• Assist with onboarding and mentoring trailer technician trainees
• Participate in OE training for repairs
• Follow shop safety procedures and maintain professional communication
