J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. is seeking a Trailer Technician II to perform intermediate maintenance, service, and repair on trailers and related equipment. Under routine supervision, you will troubleshoot issues and ensure fleet maintenance meets company standards.

The role includes onboarding trainee technicians, participating in OEM training, and adhering to safety protocols while communicating effectively with customers and staff.

Qualifications

• 2 years of semi-trailer maintenance and repair experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• At least 1 year of experience in DOT and FHWA inspections and air brakes
• Able to supply basic tools or participate in toolbox purchase program
• Willingness to work outdoors in the elements
• Able to work across multiple shifts, including nights/weekends

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficient knowledge of preventative maintenance and standard repairs on trailer equipment
• Troubleshoot trailer issues and perform intermediate repairs to specifications
• Complete work orders and adhere to SRT and warranty guidelines
• Assist with onboarding and mentoring of trailer technician trainees
• Participate in OEM training for OE repairs
• Maintain safety procedures and professional communication with personnel and customers
