Job summary
Stevens Transport, Inc. is seeking a Trailer Technician in Wisconsin to perform preventative maintenance on trailers and refrigeration units. The role offers exposure to a growing fleet and opportunities to specialize in trailers within Paragon Leasing.
The successful candidate will complete scheduled and non-routine repairs, ensure lighting and wiring are secure, and maintain a clean shop while adhering to DOT standards. Experience with ThermoKing is a plus.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of trailer technician experience
- Basic tools set for job functions
- Working knowledge of telematics systems and diagnostic software
- Ability to read and understand operating manuals, service manuals and written instruction
- Valid Class C driver’s license
- Ability to clearly read, write and speak English
- Basic math calculations
Responsibilities
- Performing scheduled and non-routine repairs to meet DOT standards
- Making sure that lights are functioning properly, and wiring is secure
- Repairing or replacing brakes, wheel seals and suspension
- Foaming of Refrigerated Trailers
- Maintaining a clean and neat shop
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
