Job summary

Stevens Transport, Inc. in Laredo, TX is seeking a Mobile Diesel/Trailer Technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections and diagnostics on our trucks and trailers across a large regional fleet.

The role requires experience with heavy-duty diesel systems and refrigeration units (Thermo King/Carrier), strong knowledge of telematics and diagnostic software, and the ability to read manuals and work with vendors.

Qualifications

5+ years of Trailer Mechanic experience.
5+ years of Trailer Body experience.
5+ years of ThermoKing/Carrier refrigeration repair experience.
3+ years of vendor/client relations.
3+ years inventory experience.
Working knowledge of telematics systems and diagnostic software.
Microsoft Office experience.
Ability to read and understand operating manuals, service manuals and written instruction.
Valid Class C driver’s license.
Ability to clearly read, write and speak English.
Basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers.
Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests.
Diagnose and repair equipment from Peterbilt, Kenworth, Freightliners, Utility and Thermo King.
Assist with vendor/client relations as needed.
Maintain accurate inventory records.
Read manuals and service instructions to complete repairs.
