Job summary

Caliberr Staffing in Nashville seeks a skilled Shop Trailer Mechanic for a permanent, full-time role. This position is shop-based only and does not involve roadside service calls.

You will perform DOT inspections, routine maintenance, identify trailer system issues, and restore liftgates, brake chambers, panels, and frames. Welding and fabrication tasks and using diagnostic gear complete the role; a strong safety mindset is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years in heavy-duty or trailer maintenance.
• Own a set of essential hand tools.
• Welding and metal fabrication experience is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical issues.
• Able to stand, climb, bend and lift during shifts.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct DOT-certified inspections.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance checks.
• Identify and resolve trailer system issues.
• Restore liftgates, brake chambers, panels and frames.
• Perform welding and metal fabrication tasks.
• Use diagnostic gear, lifts and hand tools.
• Support lead technicians to complete repairs efficiently.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
