Job summary

Weldship is seeking a Trailer Mechanic to fabricate and refabricate vehicle chassis and mounting systems. You will work on skids, saddles, containers, and mobile chassis, performing welding, brazing, torch cutting, drilling, and related tasks in a team environment.

Responsibilities include repairing vehicles, adhering to safety procedures, maintaining parts inventories, and communicating with coworkers to ensure smooth workflow.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with welding is not required but willingness to learn is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create or repair the chassis/tube mounting vehicle as directed.
• Follow safety guidelines while performing the task.
• Maintain low or nonexistent inventories of parts.
• Follow established maintenance procedures for equipment being used.
• Communicate with fellow workers to ensure smooth workflow.
• Return company tools to their designated location and maintain good housekeeping.
• Install tires, bearings, seals, suspension, air brake systems, and electrical systems where applicable.
• Welding is not required but willingness to learn.
