Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is hiring technicians to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on trailers, inspect and troubleshoot equipment, and ensure compliance with FMCSA safety regulations. The role requires reading work orders and manuals, using hand tools and test equipment, and maintaining accuracy under tight deadlines in a high-volume shop environment.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 70 lbs and work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends; a valid CDL is required if driving

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• Must be 17+ years of age.
• Minimum of one year of experience and/or completion of trade school; or equivalent education/experience.
• Must be able to use hand tools and test equipment.
• Must have own tools.
• Must know general repairs and PM criteria.
• Ability to adapt to changing technology and updates.
• Mechanical ability and interest in electronics and precision equipment.
• Must have strength and stamina for heavy equipment and awkward positions.
• Physical activities include walking, lifting, twisting, climbing stairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance of trailers.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and maintain equipment.
• Conduct safety inspections and prepare FMCSA safety documents.
• Interpret work orders and technical manuals.
• Repair or replace defective parts and systems.
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and compliance with specs.
• Adhere to attendance and any other duties as required.
