Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines in Memphis, TN seeks an experienced maintenance technician responsible for repairs and preventive maintenance of trailers. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair equipment, and perform FMCSA safety inspections with required documentation.

The role requires the ability to read technical manuals, use hand tools, and lift up to 70 lbs. A CDL and clean MVR are required if driving; candidates must be able to work varying shifts and be flexible with weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent background.
• Must be 17+ years of age.
• One year experience and/or trade school; or equivalent education/experience.
• Must know general repairs and PM criteria.
• Must possess ability to adapt to changing technology and updates.
• Possess mechanical ability and interest in electronics and precision equipment.
• Must be able to lift approximately 70 lbs. or more.
• Must be able to read and interpret safety rules, procedures and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for repairs and preventive maintenance of trailers.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform maintenance on equipment.
• Perform safety inspections and prepare safety documents per FMCSA and regulations.
• Interpret work orders and technical manuals.
• Repair or replace defective parts or systems.
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and compliance with specs.
