Job summary
Quality Repair Solutions in Walnut, CA is seeking an energetic Trailer Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on semi-truck tractors and trailers, working from a service truck under strict safety and DOT standards.
You will inspect, diagnose, and repair using OEM publications, document work in maintenance software, and coordinate parts, with Monday–Friday hours and a focus on safety and quality workmanship. The role offers competitive pay and benefits.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience with diesel engines, electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
- Minimum 1 year of experience with tractor and trailer maintenance and DOT rules.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair tractors and trailers and perform 90-day inspections to meet FHWA standards.
- Operate a yard hostler to move trailers within the yard and shop.
- Order and receive parts and supplies as needed.
- Follow OSHA safety and environmental policies for hazardous waste handling.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment and document work in management software.
- Utilize welding equipment as part of repairs.
