Job summary

A. Duie Pyle is seeking an experienced 1st Shift Trailer Mechanic to join our Fleet Maintenance team at our York, PA shop. The role offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits in a modern facility.

You will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on Class 8 trucks, troubleshoot brakes, air/electrical systems, engine and exhaust components, and use your own hand tools. Start time is 7:00 AM, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience repairing/maintaining Class 8 trucks.
• Vocational or technical training in diesel or heavy-duty vehicles.
• HS Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Willingness to learn and grow your abilities.
• Ability to work independently with a 'can-do' attitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance and repairs to heavy-duty trucks.
• Troubleshooting and repairs to brakes, air systems, electrical components, suspension systems, etc.
• Diagnose and repair engine, electrical, and exhaust after-treatment systems.
• Inspect and replace general components as required.

Trailer Mechanic qualifications:
