Job summary

Depot Connect International (DCI) is hiring a Trailer Mechanic in North Charleston, SC to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems on tank trailers and related equipment. Role requires DOT inspection certification with experience on trailers, tanks or chassis and a focus on safety compliance.

Typical shift is Monday–Friday, 7:30AM–4:30PM, with pay range $24.00–$30.00 per hour depending on experience; benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with employer match, paid time off,

Qualifications

• DOT inspection certification and trailer/tank experience required.
• Ability to diagnose faults in mechanical/electrical trailer systems.
• Welding experience is a plus but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose failures and repair mechanical and electrical systems on tank trailers.
• Service and repair tank trailers and chassis components.
• Inspect tanks/trailers to ensure DOT compliance and HM183 readiness.

We are currently searching for DOT inspection certified mechanic with experience working on trailers, tanks or chassis for our N. Charleston South Carolina

Shift Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30AM to 4:30PM

Pay Range: $24.00 to $30.00 per hour - dependent on experience.

Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.

Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:

• The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
• Tank service and repair
• Trailer suspension installation and repair
• Experience with air brake systems and repairs
• TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience (optional)
• Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)

Physical Demands:

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
• Must be able to work in confined spaces
