Job summary

R+L Carriers is seeking a Trailer Mechanic at our Yemassee, SC service center to diagnose, repair, and maintain trailers in a full-time role on 2nd and 3rd shifts. Earn up to $33.58/hr with a comprehensive benefits package. Must own tools and be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities include safety inspections, interpreting technical manuals, and ensuring work meets manufacturer specifications and regulations. Experience with Cetaris, welding, and yard tractor operation is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience performing safety inspections and documenting compliance with FMCSA, state, and local regulations.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and repair or replace defective parts.
• Experience testing equipment to meet manufacturer specifications and regulations.
• Proficient in trailer PMs and repairs; capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Must own your own tools and be dependable, willing to work climate conditions.

Trailer Mechanic, Earn up to $33.58/ hr.

Full-Time, Monday – Friday 2nd and 3rd shifts

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Trailer Mechanics at our Yemassee,SC. Service Center. As a Trailer Mechanic, your responsibilities will includethe diagnostic process, repair work, and overall maintenance of ourtrailers.

Requirements:

• * Experienced in performing safety inspections of equipment and prepare safetydocuments required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration(FMCSA), company, and any other Federal, State, or Local regulations
• * Must be able to Interpret technical manuals
• * Must have experience in repairing or replacing defective parts, components,or systems
• * Experience in testing equipment for proper performance and to ensure that thework meets manufacturer’s specifications and legislated regulations
• * Experience in trailer PMs and repairs
• * Must be able to lift 50lbs
• * Must own your own tools
• * Must be dependable
• * Must be prepared to work in climate situation when needed.

Preferred:

• * Experience using Cetaris Maintenance Work Order System
• * Welding
• * Experience driving yard tractor/trailers
• * Previous experience working on Class 8 commercial vehicles
• * Sheet metal and composite panel repair
