Job summary

R+L Carriers is seeking a Trailer Mechanic at our China Grove, NC Service Center. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain trailers to meet manufacturer specs and regulatory standards. This is full-time, with a 2nd shift from 3:00 pm to 1:30 am.

Responsibilities include safety inspections, manual interpretation, PMs, testing equipment, and ensuring work meets specs. Tools are owned by you; lifting 50 lbs is required; climate conditions may vary.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documents as required by FMCSA and regulations.
• Must be able to interpret technical manuals.
• Must have experience repairing or replacing defective parts, components, or systems.
• Experience in testing equipment for proper performance and compliance with manufacturer specs and regulations.
• Experience in trailer PMs and repairs.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must own your own tools.
• Must be dependable.

Job description

Trailer A Mechanic, Earn up to $32.74/ hr.

Full-Time, Monday – Friday 2NDt Shift – 3:00 pm to 1:30 am

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Trailer Mechanics at our China Grove, NC Service Center. As a Trailer Mechanic, your responsibilities will include the diagnostic process, repair work, and overall maintenance of our trailers.

Requirements

• Experienced in performing safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documents required by FMCSA, company, and any other Federal, State, or Local regulations.
• Must be able to interpret technical manuals.
• Must have experience in repairing or replacing defective parts, components, or systems.
• Experience in testing equipment for proper performance and to ensure that the work meets manufacturer’s specifications and legislated regulations.
• Experience in trailer PMs and repairs.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.
• Must own your own tools.
• Must be dependable.
• Must be prepared to work in climate situations when needed.

Preferred

• Experience using Cetaris Maintenance Work Order System.
• Welding.
• Experience driving yard tractor/trailers.
• Previous experience working on Class 8 commercial vehicles.
• Sheet metal and composite panel repair.
