Job summary

RSS Mobile Trailer Repair, Joliet, IL, seeks an experienced Mobile Trailer Mechanic or Diesel Mechanic to diagnose and repair semi-trailer systems. You will communicate effectively with customers and coworkers, performing maintenance on ABS, frames, doors, tires, and electrical systems.

We offer a $25-$30/hour pay range, quarterly bonuses after 90 days, and a Monday–Friday daytime schedule. Paid holidays, vacations, 401(k) after 1 year, and overtime after 40 hours are included, with bi-weekly

Qualifications

• Must be an experienced trailer mechanic.
• Outdoor, mobile service truck position.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose all trailer systems.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace defective components.
• Perform preventative maintenance on trailers and parts (ABS, frame, body, doors, tires, electrical).
• Maintain positive relationships with customers.
• Safely operate the mobile service truck.
• Follow all safety requirements while servicing trailers and driving the service truck.

About the Job

A successful candidate for this position must be an experienced Mobile Trailer Mechanic or Diesel Mechanic, with a strong understanding of semi-trailer diagnostics and repair. Someone who is self-motivated, safety-minded, and is able to effectively communicate with customers and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Independently motivated professional, dedicated to providing top-notch service.
• Maintain positive working relationships with customers.
• Properly operate the mobile Service Truck.
• Follow all safety requirements while servicing trailers and while driving the Service Truck.
