Job summary

Depot Connect International (DCI) is seeking DOT certified mechanics in Joliet, IL with 3-5+ years of tank and trailer repair experience.

You will diagnose failures, repair mechanical and electrical systems on tank trailers, service tanks, install suspension components, and work with air brake systems. Welding (TIG/MIG) is preferred. HS diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• Must have 3-5+ years of tank & trailer repair experience.
• DOT certified mechanics preferred for Joliet, IL.
• Ability to diagnose failures and repair mechanical, electrical and other system components.

Responsibilities

• Perform tank service and repair on tanks and trailers.
• Repair trailer suspension components and related systems.
• Work on air brake systems and related components.
• Weld using TIG/MIG processes as needed.
• Ensure repairs align with DOT HM183 and hazmat standards.

We are currently searching for DOT certified mechanics with 3-5+ year(s) of tank & trailer repair experience for our Joliet, IL location!

Shift Hours:Monday through Friday 7:00am- 3:30pm.

Pay Range: $22.00 to $39.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

(Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.)

Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:

• The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
• Tank service and repair
• Trailer suspension installation and repair
• Experience with air brake systems and repairs
• TIG & MIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience (preferred)
• Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)
• Must obtain a High School Diploma or GED

Physical Demands:

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
• Must be able to work in confined spaces
